Our next Beer Festival, WinterFest 2019, will take place from
12 December to 15 December 2019
Thursday 12 December   5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Plus selected ciders and gins 
Friday 13 December 11 a.m. to 12 midnight  
Saturday 14 December 11 a.m. to 12 midnight  
Sunday 15 December 12 noon to 10 p.m.  
Brewery Beer Tasting Notes  
Ashover Victorian Ruby
Mild  7.0%
Ruby red dark brown mild with an off white head. Flavour profile is sweet malts with earthy coffee and chocolate. It's also smokey with hints of liquorice and blackberry with a slightly spicy finish


Idle Bo  5.0% Rich, unfined stout with hints of coffee and chocolate which are balanced in a rich, chompy body

Beer Brothers Spruce'd Up  4.6% A dynamic, deep golden, pale ale.  Cascade hops and  Norwegian Spruce tips give this a delightful but unique flavour. Notes of crisp pine and hints of ginger make this an exciting and flavoursome break from the norm


Sleigh Fuel  5.2%

Dark red in colour, this beer has a caramel and malty taste with a hint of Christmas cake. Fit for Santa himself !

Blackaddler Santa Berry Tales  4.1%
A traditional Irish Stout recipe with the addition of wild blackberries at the end of the boil. Brewed with locally picked wild Redbine hops, plus some Magnum for bitterness and a 10 minute addition of Saaz for aroma

Chiltern Three Hundreds
Old Ale  4.9%
A full-flavoured, dark old ale with real depth of flavour and a long finish. Satisfyingly dark, good body with a long pleasing finish. Exceptional balance of premium malt and choice English hops. Served from a wooden container

Crankshaft It's Snow Joke  4.2% An amber winter ale with hints of orange marmalade and
caramel with a good body, mouth feel and head

Donkeystone Little Donkey  5.0% A traditional English stout at heart it's brewed with 6 different grains and hops. After maturation for at least one month, winter spices plus cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, cloves and vanilla are added. A small amount of honey is added to complete the richness of this true winter warmer


Stout  4.6% A full-bodied, creamy stout with complex notes of chocolate and coffee


Best Bitter  5.0%

Deep malt flavours and traditional bittering hops combine to make a strong, dark classic bitter


Sirius IPA  5.3% A strong, golden, hoppy/citrus IPA. Real ales from The Globe brewpub don’t tend to leave the premises, but Ray the Dray managed to smuggle this firkin out of North-West Derbyshire. For the serious drinker!

Leighton Buzzard

Bedfordshire Best  4.1%
Befordshire Best is a chestnut coloured bitter brewed with Northdown, Challenger and Golding hops.
Limited edition - served from a wooden container

Merlin Blizzard  4.4% A deep ruby coloured Winter seasonal special bitter that has a hint of vanilla and spices. Merlin beers are somewhat localised and simply don’t travel far from their Cheshire brewery home!

Oscars Space Dog IPA  4.2% Hop blasted with 3 different hops and 4 malts to give a well balanced, golden and tropical hoppy IPA that’s is out of this world

Rebellion Winter Royal  5.4% Traditional Fuggles and a Goldings hop variety add to the authenticity of this classic English beer. The result is a deep, ruby winter warmer at 5.4%, with a rich maltiness, soft bitterness and a fantastic late and dry hop aroma

Scruffy Dog

Hairy Dog  4.1%
Darker than normal bitters The Hairy Dog is a very drinkable session beer. With a roasty-toasty, malty flavour this bitter provides the perfect platform for a subtle blend of good old fashioned English hops

Stardust Spiced Slow Roast  4.6% A special bitter using crystal and chocolate malt. The hop aroma is tuned to compliment the chocolate and roast sweetness from the malt. A spiced Christmas Special for that warm winters feel.

Thirst Class In at the Deep End  5.3% An American Pale Ale well hopped with Centennial and Citra and dry hopped with Cascade. Fruit and citrus with a moderate bitterness  
Tom's Tap & Brewhouse Johnny Green Hop  4.7% A rye pale ale brewed with fresh hops from local gardens. The beer is unfined so a little hazy. The taste is delicate with a noble hop aroma and a little spice from the rye. Allergens are gluten (barley and rye) and the beer is suitable for vegans

Tring Little Donkey  3.8% This amber coloured special beer is low in alcohol but full on flavour. After a year of using hops from all around the world Tring have returned to an all-time favourite English hops, First Gold. A classic aroma

Worsthorne Chestnut Mare  4.0% A smooth, dark bitter with liquorice overtones. Deceptively easy drinking beer, full of taste and very satisfying

XT- Animal Rook  4.6% Brewed with 30% oats, this is a full bodied stout, perfect for the colder months.  Hints of tropical fruit with splashes of floral notes are paired with rich chocolate, coffee and liquorice notes.  A moreish beer and a winter warmer all in one.

 In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 the Royal British Legion Club Marlow won the
 CAMRA Club of the Year award for the Aylesbury Vale & Wycombe region
The Club has repeated this success by winning the CAMRA Regional Club of the Year, Central Southern Area (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire) in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018
